Okay- I haven't posted in a while. I have been away from home for about two weeks or so. Maybe more. The first leg of my travels sent me to Portland. I go out there for work sometimes. Usually for a week. This time for about 10 days. And I promise you, it rained damn near the entire time. Rain isn't bad...in fact i know it's beautiful and necessary... but damn man...So here are few highlights from the trip.
One thing I love about Portland is quite frankly, the food. They have this sense of pride for cooking and the art of dining. Plus they have a deeper sense of pride for growing a lot of the produce and raising the meats in Oregon. Makes for amazing dining experiences.
So...I have been to Portland a few other times. I don't need the GPS anymore. I kind of have the lay of land. But I set out one day to have my favorite mexican for lunch. It was a saturday...It was my PLAN to eat at this place. I walk up...Por Que No?

So I order my favorite meal.

And I wait with the anticipation of a 8 year-old about to open birthday presents. I say birthday over Christmas- but birthdays are typically JUST for you. And unless you have a twin...it's all about you...Then it arrives.
Just as I remembered.

You have not had a shrimp taco 'til you have had these. Book a flight for lunch now. Did I mentiion the Jamiacan hibiscus juice? Did I mention there is a mexican guy in plain sight hand making and pressing the tortillas right there? Made in Oregon. Yep
